The progress and development of several social and cultural projects is largely due to external and spontaneous human collaborations. Our institution is therefore willing to incorporate all possible voluntary skills into the diverse responsibilities of each of the Foundation's areas of work.
As of today, we have now established our first internship program in support of our conservation area to include university students carrying out their obligatory social service internships. Additional programs will be incorporated in the future to integrate social service internships into the rest of the Foundation's areas.
Internship Program
Support for the organization, research, documentation and dissemination of the Pedro Meyer Archive
The Foundation's work includes maintaining and disseminating the archive of the work of the artist Pedro Meyer, recognized as an expression of Mexican photographic art and as a vast documentary and historic resource. At the same time, this archive sets a precedent in the implementation of digital storage systems of images and related data. The internship program focuses on the management of newly acquired material and the documentation of the information contained in photographic images, as well as its cataloguing in digital formats.
To support its preservation, years of work have been dedicated to the organization and conservation of the archive and the design of the access system. Users' Manuals have been developed on these processes and a thesaurus compiled of key words. The Foundation has all the necessary facilities, computer equipment, and software required for the project, and all the necessary training is provided.
We hope to receive a 2009-2010 generation of social service interns and with their support complete the key words registries corresponding to the 310,000 images contained in the photographic storage system.

The Foundation is located at: Ortega 20, Colonia Villa Coyoacán, Coyoacán, Mexico City.
